Hawaiian Pineapple Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple (undrained, in its own juice – not syrup)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, vanilla extract, and undrained crushed pineapple together.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving.
