Texas Roadhouse Rolls

Ingredients:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk

¼ cup sugar

¼ cup melted butter

1 large egg

1 teaspoon salt

Honey Butter:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¼ cup honey

¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions:

In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm milk. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Add the melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8–10 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and roll it out to about ½-inch thickness.

Cut into small squares and place on a greased baking sheet.

Cover and let rise again until puffy.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly golden.

While rolls bake, mix softened butter, honey, and powdered sugar until smooth.

Brush warm rolls with butter and serve with honey butter.
