Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons instant yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
1 ½ cups warm water (not hot)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Add the warm water and oil, then mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into two or shape it into one large loaf.
- Place into parchment-lined loaf pans.
- Cover and let it rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes or until golden on top.
- Let the bread cool before slicing.
