Ingredients:
1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish. Scatter the sliced fresh strawberries over the top.
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk, and mix until well combined and spreadable.
Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries and gently spread as evenly as possible.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the entire surface without stirring.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly around the edges.
Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.
