Ingredients:
1 unbaked pie shell
3 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
2 2/3 cups milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs until well blended.
Add the sugar and salt, and whisk until smooth.
Gradually whisk in the milk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Pour the custard mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
Sprinkle the nutmeg evenly over the top.
Carefully place the pie in the oven and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow the pie to cool before slicing.
